A BOARD GAME "STORM THE (PRAGUE) CASTLE!"

The ruler of the Bohemian Lands has died without leaving an heir. You can become the new King or Queen of Bohemia if you get 200 talents of silver, which you will need to borrow the crown jewels from the Metropolitan Chapter at St Vitus for your coronation.
In order to earn the required amount of talents, you have entered the service of Prague Castle. But be careful. Prague Castle is a mysterious place and has already lived through a lot. Therefore, don’t be surprised when you find yourself wandering through various periods of its rich history.
Good luck!

CD-ROM "THE STORY OF PRAGUE CASTLE"
The story of Prague Castle is so vast and rich that it cannot be completely covered by the exhibition, book and film. We have therefore decided to present another "depiction" of the entire story - a depiction that offers a multidimensional excursion into the history of Prague Castle. Thanks to the principle of the CD-ROM, one can organise and link up historical events in the lands of the Bohemian Crown and personalities and events in the rest of contemporary Europe. Naturally, there will be an interactive chronology of the rulers and events and the architectural development of the castle, but the basic core will consist of various "stops" in the thousand-year history of Prague Castle.
The themes selected for these stops mainly cover the following subjects: the mythical beginnings of the castle complex and the Bohemian lands, the origin and development of religion, politics, the image of society, period crafts, art, scholarship and last but not least the development of architecture. The CD-ROM prepared for April 2006 will offer visitors much more information in a comprehensive and interactive form. For users, it will be both a textbook and a souvenir of their visit to the permanent exhibition.
THE STONE COLLECTION OF PRAGUE CASTLE
The architectural fragments displayed on the Romanesque floor of the Old Royal Palace present a vivid image of the developmental stages of the secular and church buildings at Prague Castle - from the oldest up to the completion of St Vitus Cathedral in the 19th century. The stone fragments, supplemented by casts and models, constitute a sort of three-dimensional textbook of the architectural styles of Prague Castle. This part will be open to the public in 2007.
